Our Story
The Fix It Man opened its doors in Dover, Delaware in 1991 with a simple promise: repair appliances honestly, charge fairly, and treat every customer like family. More than 30 years later, that's still exactly how we run the business. We've watched Dover grow, served three generations of Kent County families, and fixed more refrigerators, washers, and dryers than we could ever count.

Meet Rick
Rick is the heart of The Fix It Man. He's been turning wrenches on appliances longer than most technicians have been alive. He's known for showing up on time, explaining problems in plain English, and giving you an honest answer — even when "honest" means "this one isn't worth saving." Customers regularly comment that Rick repaired a refrigerator they were sure had to be replaced, or fixed a washing machine in 20 minutes when the big-box installer wanted to sell them a new one.
That kind of trust is built one service call at a time, and we don't take it for granted.
